LAGUNA BEACH

This contemporary home was built in the 80’s. The interior details were cold and uninviting. The homeowners wanted to incorporate their antiques and extensive Lladro collection, as well as warm up the palette, but didn’t know where to start.

We used tones in soft gold, chocolate brown, pale blue, and cream. Antique pieces were updated by reupholstering them in more contemporary, textural fabrics. New furniture pieces and cabinetry were designed with simplified transitional details but luxurious materials like zebra and burl woods to bridge the contemporary architecture with the antiques. Abstract art received traditional carved gold frames.

A true eclectic environment, this calm and soothing palette is warm and inviting without over powering the magnificent view beyond.
