A study in cool, pale neutrals, this project imparts a feeling of calm and relaxation. This client tasked us with creating a fresh, clean environment, devoid of clutter with a feeling of openness. They were looking for sophisticated spaces with a lightness that still felt welcoming. Entertaining frequently, but having a very casual and relaxed lifestyle, the inviting furniture creates a welcoming feeling in all the rooms for the client’s guests.
Plenty of natural light and views of the coast make this environment feel breezy and peaceful. Our goal was to create a sophisticated interior using pale neutrals and simple contemporary forms that enhanced the minimal architecture of the home. An almost ethereal interpretation of "spa" with layered textures, rather than pattern, create visual interest and allow the eye to rest. Art and accessories provide drama and contrast, but are used sparingly so as not to compete with the view.
